There exists a significant opportunity for Laminar
Flow Fuel Cell-powered products for a wide variety of
commercial markets that include comfort and leisure,
outdoor power equipment and UPS portable power systems.
Recreational activities have become a lifestyle for
many consumers; camping, RV and boating trips now feature
the trappings of home on the road. Outdoor Power Equipment
helps consumers keep a well-maintained landscape which
not only creates pride, but can also increase the real
estate value of the home by 15%. Finally, weather emergencies
and onsite power for construction and industrial uses
can be better managed by having portable UPS Back-up
options as a key supply chain component.
Typical consumer needs require anywhere from 25W-300W
of power and are not adequately serviced by battery
or hydrocarbon-generated power supplies that have limited
portability, short-lived duration, are noisy and/or
environmentally unfriendly. Despite these limited options
for available power, the consumer portable power market
is dynamic and robust. These markets are viewed as willing
and ready to pay a premium for micro fuel cells that
provide quiet, long-lasting and environmentally friendly
portable power solutions.
